Mothering Sunday – church OPEN for private prayer & Foodbank donations

Date: March 20, 2020

Due to Covid19, churches are no longer holding public services.

But we are encouraged to keep the church doors open for private prayer – but please observe social distancing and other Government advice at all times.

St Mary Magdalene will be open on Mothering Sunday March 22nd from 10-11.30am and from 6.30-7pm.

You may like to come in and

– light a candle in thanksgiving for your mother

– leave a prayer request for someone you know

– pick up a posy of flowers – if you’re able to make a donation for the flowers, the money will be forwarded to FoodBank.

We are also collecting items for Foodbank for families who desperately need support at this time.

The following items have been particularly requested by Foodbank but all items welcome:  UHT milk, pasta sauces, tinned meat, soap, baked beans.

St Mary Magdalene is also open for prayer and Foodbank donations Monday to Friday 9.30-10am
