We welcome all people to our church, wherever you are on your journey of faith. We encourage reflection, question and discussion to help us explore and deepen our Christian faith. We strive to reach the needs of our congregation, the local community and beyond.

Starting Out

Whether you are coming to St Mary Magdalene for the first time or you are returning to church after a long time away, stepping into a church service is a brave decision. We hope to make this experience as easy and as welcoming as possible in several ways and that you will leave feeling refreshed, uplifted and wanting to discover more about our church and our faith.

Our welcome

You will receive a warm welcome in our church as you walk through the door and over coffee after the 10am service. Our team of sidespeople are there to help and will make sure that you feel at ease. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions. There is a crèche room for infants and Junior Church  for older children and young people.

Our service books

If you attend our 10am Parish Eucharist on Sunday, you will be handed a service booklet, a hymn book and a pew sheet with the week’s readings and notices. The service book has information boxes that will help guide you through the service so that you can understand the significance of what we do.

Finding out more about us

We offer several opportunities throughout the year to explore different aspects of Christianity. Every two years we offer a course aimed at those at the beginning of their faith journey or those who need a refresher . Saint Mary Magdalene has been part of the Wandsworth Common community for over a hundred years – click here to find out more about our history.

Finding out more about you
