We welcome all people to our church, wherever you are on your journey of faith. We encourage reflection, question and discussion to help us explore and deepen our Christian faith. We strive to reach the needs of our congregation, the local community and beyond.

Worship is a chance to give thanks to God and to reflect on God’s presence and purpose in our lives. Sunday is the day that has traditionally been set aside for God and worship. God told the Hebrew people to ‘remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. Six days you shall labour and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God’ (Exodus 20:8-10). Our main services, therefore, are on Sundays. There are, however, other opportunities for worship during the week.

Sunday Worship

Morning Prayer

A short, reflective service with a psalm, readings and prayers.

Parish Eucharist

This is our main service each week. It is a traditional celebration of Holy Communion, including hymns, readings and a sermon. This service includes Junior Church (click through to Young People @ SMM page) groups for the younger members of our congregation and a crèche room for parents and infants. Members of Junior Church rejoin the congregation in time for Communion. The service is followed by coffee in the Church Hall.

Evening Eucharist

We hold a Eucharist on Sunday evenings in the Lady Chapel.  It is a much more informal and reflective service that lasts around 40 minutes.  Although holding a Eucharist every week has not been possible during the interregnum we have continued to offer a lay-led contemplative service on Sunday evenings
