We welcome all people to our church, wherever you are on your journey of faith. We encourage reflection, question and discussion to help us explore and deepen our Christian faith. We strive to reach the needs of our congregation, the local community and beyond.

Junior Church

Stepping Stones (5-8)

When children reach school-age, they move into Stepping Stones. The purpose of Stepping Stones is for children to learn about the most important stories in our faith and what we believe in as Christians. This is done in a very creative way and children will often engage in an activity or join the main service with something that they have made. The group joins the main service for Communion. Stepping Stones takes place on every Sunday of the year, with the exception of occasional Sundays when the whole church joins together.

Seekers (8-11)

The children in Seekers are encouraged to think more about the implications of Christianity. The group usually focuses on one of the week’s readings that are read in the church service – this is often some of Jesus’ teaching or one of his parables. What does this tell us about how we might live our lives? How does this help us to understand more about God and Jesus? The group joins the main service after about forty minutes. Like Seekers, Stepping Stones takes place on every Sunday of the year, with the exception of occasional Sundays when the whole church joins together.

Check it Out (11+)

Check it Out is the group for children of 11 and upwards. We meet together at the beginning of the service and join the main congregation after about forty minutes. We study lots of different subjects including prayer, Christian values, themes from the Old Testament and New Testament. We have lots of lively discussion and we like to express our opinions. We also begin to volunteer to help with the community of our church.
