SMM Covid Update!
As you will be aware, schools and nurseries in England began to re-open yesterday after the easing of lockdown restrictions. Government advice remains that Church buildings are closed for everything else including public prayer and worship - and no other community groups will be resuming their activities.
Marmalade Bear Nursery who use our Parish Hall at SMM were one of the nurseries which re-opened yesterday. As you can imagine there are all kinds of protocols, risk assessments, and cleaning regimes that the Nursery have put in place to ensure the health and safety of children, staff and families.
To support them in complying with HMG guidance, we have agreed that no-one else will access the Parish Hall and (middle) Church Halls until 31st July. (unless for emergency repairs etc). Can all members of the congregation please make sure that you don’t enter either Hall from June 1st till July 31st. If there are any reasons why you need to enter, please can you discuss this with the vicar or churchwardens, so we can make arrangements with the nursery accordingly.
Please keep Marmalade Nursery and all Nurseries and Schools, pupils, staff and families, in your prayers at this very challenging time as we continue to pray for all those key workers and front-line staff who are doing such great work in keeping our country safe and functioning.
